On day six of my hunt at Loosimingor, after a steep climb through dense mountain forest, we finally arrived at our desired destination – within close range of an old, single bull grazing quietly in the dense bush. Rarely have I enjoyed a successful stalk to that degree. After many safaris in Africa, this experience at about 6600 feet altitude in the middle of a dense montane forest to take an old bull with my double rifle was something special. Once again, it has been shown that hunting in Africa is teamwork and the team around Rainer is most professional and reliable. A tough, athletic and strenuous but very rewarding and memorable hunt in a magnificent, natural setting. A hunt for all those for whom the “how” is more important than the “what”.
