Rainer Josch Safaris

I grew up in my fathers hunting camp in Northern Serengeti/Tanzania. After my formal education in Germany, I started to organise and guide adventure tours and hunting safaris in South America,Europa and Africa. In 1989 I moved back to Tanzania, guiding safaris there ever since.

Since 1993, I have been operating mountain buffalo hunts in the Montane Forest of Northern Tanzania. In addition, I have been developing Mountain Buffalo hunts in the remote areas of North Karamoja in Uganda. Since 2024 Northern Uganda and hunts at Mt. Gelai in Northern Tanzania are our main areas of operation.

WE BELIEVE THAT

Hunting free-roaming and endemic species anywhere in the world is a “Privilege” rather than a “Right”.

With this privilege comes the responsibility and the desire to protect habitats and it’s species.

Our hunts focuse on taking mature, old and single bulls or bulls from bachelor groups, leaving the herds untouched.

We make use of all the game meat we hunt - either using it ourselves or providing it to the local community.
